Study in Spain University
More and more kids from all over the world come to study in Spain every year. In 2020, there were more than 210,000 international students in Spain. Most of them attended universities in Barcelona, Madrid, Andalucía, and Valencia.
Italians, French and Colombians represent the vast majority of foreign students. International students also often choose the Iberian Peninsula, and many of them with the help of AcademSpain, to begin their training.

1. European education
Studying at higher educational institutions in Spain always comply with western training standards and, of course, a European diploma implies strong international standards as well. And this is not just a formality: local universities hold good positions in international rankings.

2. Low cost
How much does tuition cost? It’s objectively rather low by European standards.
Cheapest universities in Spain. Although all higher education here has to be paid for, you can find programs at some public universities starting at 800€ per year. In addition, you are usually allowed to divide that amount into two or three parts and then pay it off in installments.
Keep in mind that in some regions the prices at state universities for non-residents and EU residents are very different: unfortunately, this doesn’t usually work out in our favor. Remember that when you search websites for information on tuition fees.

The prices at private universities are the same for everyone, which on average is 3-4 times more expensive than state universities. However, here everything rests entirely in the hands of the educational center itself.

3. A highly sought-after language
It is fair to say that in some neighboring countries, higher education is generally free (including for foreigners). But how are international universities in Spain better than others?
First of all, Spanish language is taught here which is the second most widely spoken language in the world (spoken by about half a billion people). Study spanish in Spain university is a very good investment in your future.
Clearly, speaking Spanish well rather than speaking German or Czech, can increase your chances of finding employment in the world . It can also open the door to markets in Latin America.
4. Enrollment after school
The most important thing in order to get a Bachelor’s degree in Spain is to have a high school diploma. Both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree (a two year diploma from a community college) will do.
This means that you can enroll right after graduation of the high school : you don’t have to study anywhere else. However, in order to meet the application deadline, you will need to graduate early from school in your home country. And, of course, start learning the Spanish language and preparing for exams in advance.
It is also beneficial to have a high grade point average. But this is not a vital necessity – many institutions will accept students with mediocre grades.
If you received a certificate or diploma in a country other than the EU, it is required to equate it with a similar local one. Nostrification is just a formaility: it is simply impossible to get a rejected when providing a legitimate document.

Everyone knows that the best way to beef up your language skills is to immerse yourself in an environment where you have to practice it 24/7.
Studying in Spain will give you the opportunity to quickly and efficiently improve your Spanish (or even English if you go to an English-speaking Master’s program, for example). And also – try living abroad so you can experience life and the people, culture and traditions. It’s also the best way to understand if this country suits you.
6. Jobs for students
A nice bonus: International students can get a special permit which allows them to work up to 20 hours a week. And, after three years of uninterrupted study, they can even apply for a full “working” residence permit.
